Welcome to

Jindivick
Gardens

Jindivick Gardens is on Jacksons’ Track, Jindivick. We are 15 kms north of Drouin and 8 kms west of Neerim South; it is a drive of 75 minutes from the SE suburbs of Melbourne and about 90 minutes from Mornington. The surrounding countryside is hilly and almost always green and, for the most part given over to dairy farming and State Forest. We offer a three day package of Dinner, Bed and Breakfast in our purpose built Guest Wing for $450 per couple (single occupancy of a room is charged $300 for the three nights).

The package may be booked from Monday to Thursday ie arrive Monday afternoon and depart Thursday morning or from Thursday afternoon to Sunday morning. The Guest Wing is self contained; separated from the house and has two double bedrooms and one room with twin beds. Each of the bedrooms has en suite facilities. The Guest Wing has its’ own Entrance Hall, a kitchen and a drawing room. The drawing room is 12m x 4.5m or about 6 squares and overlooks the ten acre garden that was commenced in 1986. It also has views stretching to Westernport and the Strzlecki Ranges.

The garden of course is open to our guests during their stay. There has been significant planting over the thirty years that has attracted a prolific bird life with 62 species identified.

A full breakfast is provided in the Guest Wing each morning and dinner is served at our dining table in the evening. Drinks are available in the Guest Wing and wine is served at dinner at no additional charge. Should you have any particular dietary requirements please let us know at the time of booking so that we may cater for you appropriately.

Jindivick is set in the beautiful countryside of West Gippsland and is in an area designated by Tourism Victoria as a Gourmet-Deli Region. There are several attractions in the area. For those who like being out of doors there are the Nangara and Glen Nayook Reserves, The Tooronga River and Falls at Noojee and a restored trestle railway bridge; the only bridge on the line to survive the 1939 fires. There are a number of country drives to the Blue Rock Dam, to Mount Worth National Park or to Mirboo North. For those who like attractive shops Yarragon has a well deserved reputation as a stopping place on the Freeway.

Further afield you can make day excursions to the Walhalla Goldfields and Railway, Mt Baw Baw, Korumburra, Leongatha or the Yarra Valley but these will take a full day to accomplish. Wherever you go driving through the local countryside is a delight and the countryside attractive.

Our first time here. The gardens and food are beautiful and the hosts are wonderful. We went to the gallery and bought three flowers and a bird on a stand. The man gave us a dog.
